LPG (LIQUID PETROLEUM GAS) AND
KEROSiNE
COMPARISON:
1.
WEIGHT
2.
CARBON GAS EMISSIONS
3.
PRICE
4.
CALORIE VALUE
5.
FLAMMABILITY
6.
EFFICIENCY
ANSWER
1.
LPG is more weigh than kerosine
2.
LPG has lower carbon
gas emission than kerosine.
3.
The real LPG 12 KG has
price Rp 85.000
Kerosine has price
Rp 10.000 per liter
1 liter of
kerosine = 0.57 kg of LPG
Kerosine is more
expensive than LPG
4.
Calorie value of LPG 11.254,61 Kcal/Kg
Calorie value of kerosine 10.478,95 Kcal/Kg
LPG has higher calorie value than kerosine.
5.
LPG is more flammable
than kerosine
6.
LPG is more efficient
than kerosine
SPESIFIC
OF LPG
Liquefied petroleum gas (also called LPG, GPL, LP Gas, or liquid propane gas) is aflammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases used as a fuel in heating appliances and vehicles. It is
increasingly used as an aerosol propellant and a refrigerant, replacing chlorofluorocarbonsin an effort to reduce damage to
the ozone
layer. When specifically used as a vehicle fuel it is often referred to as autogas.
Varieties of LPG bought and sold include mixes that
are primarily propane (C3H8),
primarilybutane (C4H10)
and, most commonly, mixes including both propane and butane, depending on the
season — in winter more propane, in summer more butane[citation needed]. Propyleneand butylenes are usually also present in small concentration. A
powerful odorant,ethanethiol, is added so
that leaks can be detected easily. The international standard is EN 589. In the United
States, thiophene or amyl mercaptan are also approved odorants.
SPESIFIC OF KEROSINE
Kerosene is typically (and in some jurisdictions legally required to be)
stored in a blue container to avoid its getting confused with the much more
flammable gasoline, which is
typically kept in a red container. Diesel
fuel is generally stored in yellow containers for the
same reason.
