UTILIZATION OF IMMOBILIZED LIPASE As LED BIOSENCOR To
DETECT PORK CONTENT IN FOOD

ABSTRACT

Since Indonesia as the biggest moeslem population in the world there are appear
certain obligation to increase safety and protection in term of food from content
that not equal with Islamic syariat. The issue of pork content fortification in
certain food (meat, snack, canned food) increasing every year. Data from Ministry
of Trading in 2010-2012 (Java, Borneo and Celebes) there are several violation
case which is found pork content on there. Therefore is advised to create several
analysis mechanism to proof pork content in suspected merchant. Analysis
method that being used mostly take so much time and expensive so that’s why
those problem need an creative and economical sencor in order can make rapid
analysis. This solution must fulfill certain condition which is portable, high
accuracy and has reasonable price. Lipase can be alternative because lipase give
specified respon to specific protein inside pork. This respon can be used to make
rapid analysis with higher accuracy on the reasonable price and portability can be
achieved with immobilized method for lipase. Other benefit this can give positive
contribution toward environment in term providing safety and guarantee toward
society. The production involved immobilization of lipase and impregnation to
LED circuit. The shape of this product is rapid test pack and will be marketed in
Java, Borneo, Sumatra and Celebes with market target is merchant, medical and
analytic purpose.
